Liability insurance responds to compensation claims arising from harm your activity causes to others: a workplace accident, a customer slipping on your premises, damage caused by a product you made, or a professional error. Each can turn into a substantial claim.
Professional liability policies are written separately for doctors, architects, engineers, pharmacists and accountants, and for some professions the cover is compulsory by law. We review your activity and contracts, decide with you which liability policy and limit you need, and compare insurers' offers.

What you should know
The policy wording states whether cover is triggered by the date of the event or the date of the claim (occurrence or claims-made basis); we show you this difference clearly at the quotation stage.
Liability covers inside business package policies usually carry low limits. Depending on headcount and activity, a standalone policy with higher limits is often needed.

Frequently asked questions
Package limits often fall short of the real exposure. We look at raising the limits or arranging a standalone policy based on your activity.
After a workplace accident the social security institution can reclaim what it paid the employee from an employer found at fault. Employer's liability insurance meets these claims and the court costs within the policy terms.
The information on this page is for general guidance and does not replace policy wording. Scope of cover, limits, deductibles and exclusions are determined by the general and special conditions of the insurer you choose.
