Had a loss?

Stay calm first, then call us

An accident, flooding, fire or burglary… What you do in the first minutes shapes the whole settlement. We guide you step by step through reports, photographs and notification.

The first four steps after a loss

  1. Make sure everyone is safe; call 112 and 155 if needed.
  2. Photograph the scene and the damage generously.
  3. Complete the accident or incident report in full.
  4. Call us and we will file the notification together.

Points to watch

Notify us as soon as you learn of the loss, ideally the same day. Late notification can reduce the settlement.

Do not repair or replace damaged parts before the loss adjuster's inspection, or payment will be delayed.

For small motor claims, notifying may cost you your no-claims discount. Call us first and we will run both scenarios.

If your claim is declined, ask for the reason in writing; the Insurance Arbitration Commission and consumer arbitration routes remain open. We stay with you through that too.
