Life Therapy Critical Illness Insurance

Yaşam Terapi (Life Therapy) is Sompo Sigorta's critical illness insurance. For unexpected illnesses with high treatment costs such as cancer, organ transplant or kidney failure, it pays a lump sum, set according to the plan you choose, towards the needs that arise during diagnosis, treatment and afterwards. It is available to Turkish citizens aged 18–60 and is not compulsory.

Health insurance pays hospital bills; critical illness insurance pays you an amount that is not tied to invoices. You can use it for needs such as lost income during treatment, transport, care or keeping family life running. We plan with you how it fits alongside your existing health policy.

What is covered?

  • Cancer
  • Heart valve surgery
  • Aortic aneurysm
  • Kidney failure

Optional add-on covers

What you should know

Yaşam Terapi Insurance is a Sompo Sigorta product, arranged through our agency. It comes with 4 cover plans; since the insurer does not publish the plan amounts on its website, we confirm cover and premium details for your age and chosen plan at the quotation stage.

A 90-day waiting period applies; after that there is no further waiting period. The policy ends once the benefit is paid, but the Second Opinion Service and the Oncology Support Package continue to be available.

No product-specific exclusion list is published; the Health Insurance General Conditions apply. Under the General Conditions, for example, war, revolution and rebellion; committing or attempting a crime; knowingly exposing oneself to serious danger; drug use; nuclear, biological and chemical risks; and attempted suicide are excluded.
