Compulsory Motor Third Party Liability insurance is required by law for every vehicle on the road in Türkiye. If you are at fault in an accident, it pays for material damage to the other party's vehicle, the medical costs of anyone injured, and disability and death compensation, up to the limits stated in the policy.
The limits are set by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, are usually updated every year and are identical across all insurers. What differs is the premium, and the biggest factor there is your no-claims step. That is exactly where we help: we compare quotes from the insurers we work with for the same cover and recommend the one that suits you best.
What is covered?
- Material damage to the other party's vehicle
- Damage to other third-party property
- Medical and treatment costs of the injured
- Permanent disability compensation
- Loss-of-support compensation in case of death
- Loss-of-value claims after an accident (where conditions are met)
- Defence against unjustified claims

What you should know
Motor liability does not pay for damage to your own vehicle; comprehensive (kasko) cover is needed for that. Driving without a policy can lead to an administrative fine and the vehicle being taken off the road.
The no-claims discount builds up based on the policyholder's history. When you sell your car and buy a new one, you can carry your step over to the new vehicle if the conditions are met, and we handle this for you.
The figures in the table are the statutory limits in force from 1 January 2026, based on information published by the relevant insurer; per-accident amounts may differ by vehicle type. Limits can change, so ask us for the current figures.

Driving while uninsured carries a fine and the risk of the vehicle being taken off the road. If the policy is not renewed for a long time (generally more than two years), your no-claims step may drop back to the starting level.
Your kasko policy, if you have one. Otherwise the damage to your own vehicle is not covered.
