Medical Complication Insurance is a Sompo Sigorta product designed only for foreign nationals living abroad who come to Türkiye for health tourism; it is not offered to residents of Türkiye or to Turkish citizens. If a complication develops after an operation at an accredited hospital or clinic in Türkiye, it pays for the necessary revision or repeat operation up to the selected cover limit.
It can be arranged for hair transplant, aesthetic and obesity surgery, eye, dental and implant procedures and other surgical specialities. Alongside the complication cover, it includes inpatient treatment, transport and accommodation, medical treatment, transport of the insured and repatriation of remains, baggage loss, third-party liability and legal protection. We select the right plan for the type of operation and the limit required.

Medical Complication Insurance is a Sompo Sigorta product, arranged through our agency. The limits in the table are based on information published in Sompo Sigorta's product brochure and may change; contact us for current amounts and policy duration options.
The premium depends on the speciality of the operation, the selected complication limit and the policy duration. The policy must be issued before the operation; a policy bought after surgery cannot cover complications of that operation.
Complication products on the market generally cover the complications listed in the consent form signed before the operation, while revisions requested simply because the patient does not like the aesthetic result are not covered. Malpractice, interventions arising from other illnesses, procedures such as botox, mesotherapy and acupuncture, and treatment at non-accredited institutions are also generally excluded. The exact scope is defined by the policy terms.
