Motorcycle liability insurance is the motorcycle version of compulsory motor third party liability, and it is required by law for every motorcycle on the road. If you are at fault in an accident, it pays for damage to the other party's vehicle and property, the medical costs of anyone injured, and disability and death compensation, up to the policy limits.
It only pays for damage you cause to others; damage to your own motorcycle and your own injuries are not covered. Since the limits are the same at every insurer, the difference is in the premium. We compare quotes from the insurers we work with and, where it makes sense, show you complementary options such as motorcycle kasko and personal accident cover.
What is covered?
- Material damage to the other party's vehicle
- Damage to other third-party property
- Medical and treatment costs of the injured
- Permanent disability compensation
- Loss-of-support compensation in case of death
- Defence against unjustified claims

What you should know
The figures in the table are the limits Quick Sigorta published for 2025 on its motorcycle liability page; statutory limits are usually updated every year. Limits are based on information published by the relevant insurer and can change, so ask us for the current figures.
Damage to your own motorcycle and your own injuries fall outside this policy. We can look at motorcycle kasko and personal accident cover together for those.
Riding without a policy can lead to an administrative fine and the motorcycle being taken off the road. Your no-claims step is a key factor in the premium.
