Livestock life insurance is offered through the TARSIM pool, with part of the premium paid by the state. It compensates you, within the policy terms, when cattle, sheep or goats die or must be slaughtered for the reasons listed in the policy.
Animals must be ear-tagged and registered in TÜRKVET. We check your farm details and prepare the application on your behalf.
What is covered?
- Death from disease
- Death from accident
- Death due to birth complications
- Compulsory slaughter on veterinary decision (subject to policy terms)
- Death caused by fire, lightning, flood, earthquake and similar perils
What you should know
The state subsidy, eligible animal ages and cover conditions are set by the implementation rules published each year. Certain situations, such as epidemic diseases for which the state pays separate compensation, may be excluded.
In case of death or illness, notify before disposing of the animal and obtain a veterinary report.
